Adwatch #1 - IKEA: Peace, Love & Storage
IKEA are well known for their unusual approach to TV advertising. Previous successful efforts include encouraging Brits to “stop being so English”, letting loose 100 house cats in their Wembley store and people partying in an IKEA kitchen to a Jona Lewie song. Now for 2011 they’ve brought us ‘Peace, Love & Storage’, a minute-long skit set before a live audience where four comedians argue the case as to whether men or women are more untidy, whilst packing away shoes, clothing and other detritus into smartly designed storage ‘solutions’. Another hit for the Scandinavian flat-pack furniture peddler.
